Several intrepid moth-ers gathered in the late evening outside the education building st Magor Marsh for a night of moth trapping. After the friendly social welcoming 4 traps were set up at various places on the reserve not too far from the building.
Conditions weren't perfect (cooling, light cloud with some precipitation) , but the traps soon attracted a wide variety of species, but not in the numbers one would expect at this time of year.
64 species in total were recorded with highlights being Gold Spot, Crescent and Double Lobed.
