 Blackrock Quarry butterflies

27th May. We were pleased to see the Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary and Small Heath reappearing here, but as yet, no Small Coppers which had frequently been seen in previous years on some small patches of ground which used to support wild flowers but are now becoming overgrown.

Brimstone (1), Common Blue (13), Dingy Skipper (4), Green-veined (2), Orange Tip (2), Peacock (1), Small Heath (5), Small White (5), Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary (3), Speckled Wood (2)
