It was good to look afresh at this wonderful NNR in the Rhymney valley. Although a little breezy at times and with the sun only breaking through the clouds intermittently, there was still plenty to see: Marsh Fritillary (x6), Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary (x6), Small Copper, Small Heath, Common Blue and Green-veined White.
