Redhouse Barns, Newport Wetlands 11th May

Moths to Robinson trap: Clouded border 1, green carpet 1, flame shoulder 3, common wave 1, Hebrew character 1, poplar hawkmoth 1, treble lines 1, shuttle-shaped dart 1, the spectacle 1. 

Also a marbled green caterpillar on the wall of the barn (photo). Last week I found a caterpillar on the wall which I assumed was a marbled beauty, but after looking in Porter, realised it was a common footman. Both feed on lichens.
