October 2022 was a pretty amazing month for migrant moths across southern Britain, although nothing truly mega (and no Crimson Speckled) appeared at Dingestow. Highlights at the Dingestow Court MV were:
th October: 1 rather battered Clifden Nonpareil
th October: 1 Vestal, 1 2nd generation Rustic (checked very carefully)
th October: 1 Cypress Carpet (3rd Dingestow record)
st October: 1 Streak (2nd Dingestow record), 1 Delicate (3rd Dingestow record), 1 Pauper Pug (new for Dingestow, see separate Blog post)
th October: 1 Convolvulus Hawkmoth (6th Dingestow record)
th October: 1 Vestal
th October: 1 Orange Sallow, 1 Red Sword-grass, 1 Scarce Bordered Straw, 1 Vestal, 3 Large Wainscot
th October: 1 Streak (3rd Dingestow record)
st October: 1 Delicate (4th Dingestow record & 3rd this year), 1 Large Wainscot, 1 Rustic
