There were wintering Peacock in the church tower at Bishton today. The photograph shows an individual on a Barn Owl pellet. Perhaps the pellet provided nutrients when the butterfly first sat up. Also visible are Harlequin Ladybirds - they are often found wintering high up in building voids.
