 Abergavenny garden

22nd June

A mild night at 13° produced 35 species, although again not in large numbers - 78 specimens total. Nothing new for us, but a few nice species including Swallow-tailed moths, Light Arches, Scarce Silver-lines, Blood Vein, Clouded Border and a Scarlet Tiger (the latter 3 figured here).

(4), Mottled Beauty (1),  Riband Wave (3), Rufous Minor (1), Scarce Silver-lines (1), Scarlet Tiger (1), Setaceous Hebrew Character (1), Single-dotted Wave (1), Snout (1), Straw Dot (1), Swallow-tailed moth (4), Sycamore (1), Treble Brown Spot (2), Uncertain (5), Willow Beauty (1)

A Painted Lady appeared in our front garden on 2nd and 10th June, both times settling for some time on the mass of Blue Star Creeper covering our 'lawn'.
