LIGHTHOUSE PARK

Ran the 4x30w actinic from 2130 to 0315 last night. NE7mph 17° down to 12° part cloudy. clear by 0200.
92 moths of 35 macro 4 micro species dropped in on or around the trap and were potted.

  1. That sounds like a great night, Mel. I don't know the status of Peacock in VC35 but we have no confirmed records in Carms. I am not quite certain of the ID of your one, and whether it might be Sharp-angled. Some characters suggest one and some suggest the other.

    1. Sam the line on outer edge of hind wing is unbroken that led me to Peacock. Sent a pic to Martin see what he thinks too.

  2. It's a notoriously difficult species pair! Lots of other nice stuff too - I very rarely see Dog's-tooth or Obscure Wainscot (but then I do live inland).
