Thursday 3 January: with such mild weather I decided to dust off the MV and give it a go. The temperature dropped off as the night progressed so I didn't go beyond 12 o'clock and probably just as well as not a single species of moth ventured into the trap. There was however a very early (or late?) Spruce Carpet sat on the wall behind the trap. Back in the house and x2 White-shouldered House Moth.
Saturday 5 January: MV and again just one moth - a Pale Brindled Beauty. Pinkish colour of the abdomen just showing through, although otherwise plenty of wear on this individual, so not that "fresh". I didn't catch this species last year so a very welcome sight.
