Lower Ochrwyth - 20th March
I didn't set the trap, but nevertheless a FFY Twin-spotted Quaker arrived at the outside light - a day earlier than last year for the species, perhaps surprising given that everything else is well behind this "spring".

Lower Ochrwyth - 18th March
Temperature still low with it not getting above 2C last night, nevertheless a single moth ventured into the MV trap - a Yellow Horned. This is the first for the garden for a number of years, so very welcome.

Lower Ochrwyth - 5 March
Temperature was up last night, but still cool and MV produced just a single moth, a Chestnut.

Spring has sprung!
....well almost! This March Moth turned up a day early on 28 February and a Dotted Border came to the outside light last night, but that's about it. Clear sky and the continuing low temperatures at night are not encouraging much else out - just yet.
